Video of Danny Strobbe's story: How innovative brain surgery helped a young man prosper

Clinical Interests

Skull base tumors; cerebrovascular surgery (aneurysms, AVMs, carotid disease); neuro-oncology (benign and malignant brain and spinal cord tumors); pituitary tumors; Chiari malformations; general adult neurosurgery.

Research Interests
Biology of brain tumors; mechanisms underlying invasion of gliomas and meningiomas; evaluations of lipopolysaccharide as an antitumoral agent. Assessment of tumor growth upon brain function; MRI imaging of brain tumors. Additionally, Dr. Chicoine is a clinical research investigator pursuing novel treatment strategies for brain tumors through ongoing clinical trials. Furthermore, advanced intraoperative magnetic resonance imaging (iMRI) strategies are being explored for brain tumors, Chiari malformations, and other neurological diseases using the newly installed high-field strength iMRI operating rooms at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. More information on iMRI facilities at Barnes Jewish Hospital.
