Remarkable patient care, pioneering research and top-level medical training are all components of our mission at the Washington University Department of Neurosurgery. Our clinical and research faculty are active in all of these activities while research faculty members seek to gain a better understanding of the underlying causes of neurological diseases and to apply this knowledge toward developing better approaches for diagnosis and patient care. We also are fortunate to be able to work with a number of supurb joint faculty members who are based in radiology, radiation oncology and medical oncology.
